Adopt A Highway
The Star Lion's Club does our part to make the City of Star sparkle by picking up debris along a stretch of Highway 44 twice a year.
Mayor's Scholarship Program
We are proud to partner with the Mayor’s Scholarship Program since its inception. Each graduating senior that applies receives at least $500, based on their application eassay, community service, and grades, to use for trade school or college.
Little Free Libraries
The Star Lions have three Little Free Libraries, located at Hunters Creek Par, Blake Haven Park, and Pine Wood Lakes.
Pull Tabs
The Star Lions collects pull tabs (from cans) for the Lions District 39W challenge for donation to Ronald McDonald House. .
Vision & Hearing
The Star Lions collects used eye glasses and hearing aids, along with assisting those in need of an eye exam.
Please drop off gently used glasses and/or hearing aids at the Star Branch Library.
Star Club Community Involvement
Star's 4th of July Hometown Celebration
Star Lions participate in the annual Star Hometown Celebration. At this fundraiser, we proudly sold hot dogs at the Grand 'Ole Luncheon at The Riverhouse.
Star Annual Tree Lighting
Serve cookies at the annual Star tree lighting held at the Star River House.
Star Chili Cook-off
Participate in the annual Chili Cook-off with hopes to win the cash prize and contribute to our community funds.
Star Fishing Rodeo w/ Star Police
Star Lions participate at the Annual Fishing Rodeo where volunteers are needed.
